Brian and Angie McGinness
Brian has completed a CCOF organic agriculture apprenticeship in southern California, has earned a Master Gardener's certificate and a permaculture design certificate. He earned a bachelors degree in environmental education from Prescott College in Arizona. From there he worked at Native Seed SEARCH, a nonprofit seed saving farm located in Patagonia, Arizona. He then earned a master's degree from Northern Arizona University in secondary education and he has five years of teaching experience. Brian also has a North Dakota state teacher's license. We moved to Vermont to pursue farming. There we started Two Spoon Farm, a natural meat CSA. Brian's passion and brave unrelenting idealism have helped forge the way for us to pursue this challenging path we are driven to succeed in.
Angie fell in love with the hard, but peace-filled work of farming here at her uncle's farm, when she was a young woman. She spent 3 years working at Tokach Veggie Vineyard and developing a deep bond with the land that we now are leasing. After moving to Arizona and meeting the farmer of her dreams, Brian, she spent five years as a stay at home mom with their young kids. After moving to Vermont to deepen their farm education they started Two Spoon Farm a natural pasture-based meat CSA for two seasons. Angie and Brian then felt like the tide was pulling them home to North Dakota to farm on Angie's great-grand parent's homesteaded land that we are currently leasing from Angie's uncle, Louis Tokach, an experienced vegetable farmer. He operated Tokach Veggie Vineyards on his farm for over 20 years. Now we are operating Riverbound Farm, a diverse CSA.
