Riverbound Farm

Picture
Riverbound Farm is located south of Mandan, North Dakota, wedged between the meandering Little Heart river and the towering Little Heart Butte. We specialize in growing organic vegetables with an emphasis on sustainability and community building. Riverbound Farm's aim is to build a very strong connection with the Bismarck- Mandan community. We want CSA members to feel at home here on the farm and see first hand how their food is grown and whom by. CSA members are supporting our family's dream of farming and we in turn want to nourish you and your family. We put our hearts into creating magnificent high quality fresh vegetables that are often harvested the day CSA members receive them. We grow our food with deep intention toward environmental respect and sustainability, community connection, and nourishment for healthy living.

Our mission: Sustainable farming, while bridging the gap between consumers and the farm that produces their food, creating a stronger local food economy, and, not to be forgotten, making a living as farmers.

 What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it basically means just that, the community of people that come together and join a CSA are supporting and ensuring local food being available to them as well as employing a local farmer for the year.

Members of our vegetable CSA purchase a share of a season's worth of produce, and in return they receive fresh, high quality, produce delivered weekly and a connection to the farm where it is grown. By committing to purchasing an entire season of food from our farm you are also employing us as farmers for the year. You will enjoy a diverse selection of home grown organic vegetables that will change as the season progresses. Freshly picked produce has higher nutritional value, a longer shelf life, and our produce is grown with high regard to environmental sustainability.  When you become a member of our CSA you join a community that values the viability of sustainable farming and a healthy food economy. Eat well, support local Farmers, and protect the health of the land. Symbiotic relationships are great!

We also share in the bounty

Members of a CSA are becoming members of an important community endeavor. We hope to build a strong CSA that all members can actively be a part of. Members of Riverbound Farm CSA are making a difference in the local economy by supporting a local family farm and organic agriculture.

Once a week members can choose to either come out to the farm or pick-up their produce in town.
Members will also get to choose what they want each week from a large variety of produce.
We encouraged people to come out to the farm regularly. Go on a stroll and check out the farm and your food production. Volunteer opportunities will also be available for those members who want to really get involved. We will also have a children's play area near the CSA barn along with pick your own pumpkins in the fall.
